My Bio
Self-taught artist with a lifelong interest. I attended regular classes in Glasgow School of Art as a child.
I have completed modules with 'Open College of the Arts' and attended workshops and courses, including study under Ken Paine, master pastellist.
I have been selected as a featured artist on the 'Artists and Illustrators' website. The 'Portfolio Plus' category was 'Faces' and I was delighted to be chosen. Just received news today that I have won 'Portrait and Figure Artist of the Year' in the annual SAA - Society for All Artists: http://www.saa.co.uk/ - competition. Very pleased that 'In the Gloaming' has been chosen in this category, as well as 'Firelight' being chosen as the piece for Professional Artist of the Year! :thumb355004893:

Just fantastic! Are all your artwork made with soft pastels?

Hi! Thank you very much for the watch C:
You're welcome!
Your pastel work is so fantastic - just love it. Esp. the older faces have so much character!
Thank you, I'm very much drawn to faces with character and life experience, but still with lively eyes. Some of the later ones are in oils
Thanks again
Margaret
Very welcome. I esp. love your pastels, as I do myself a bit pastel painting.
I had a look, lovely work! You have a talent for the medium
